About Trisha Kelly Bruner

Trisha is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Arizona. She was born and raised in Chicago, IL and has lived in many different cities before relocating to Phoenix, AZ in 2012.  Her first career was in professional dance, getting her B.F.A. in Dance from the University of Arizona in 2007 and going on to dance professionally both nationally and internationally for several years. Trisha decided she wanted to serve the community in a new way and received a Master’s in Advanced Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Arizona State University in 2013. She began her second career working for a public mental health agency providing individual, family, and group therapy to children and their families. She moved on to working with adults struggling with addiction at Pinnacle Peak Recovery, a private inpatient treatment facility in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was there she ran groups and provided both individual and couple’s therapy to adults of all ages tackling their addiction and underlying trauma head on.

Trisha utilizes a variety of interventions unique to your needs and does not believe in a one size fits all approach to therapy

She incorporates an eclectic array of modalities such as:

Structural Family Therapy

EMDR
(Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

Experiential Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Family Systems

Additionally, she utilizes Gottman Method Couples Therapy in her work (a research-based approach to relationships) as well as a trained facilitator for PREPARE/ENRICH; a therapeutic construct for premarital and marriage enrichment counseling.
