Welcome! Trisha is a seasoned Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Director and Owner of Life in Motion Therapy, a group private practice located in the heart of Central Phoenix.
Trisha's heart beats to help people break generational patterns in their families and heal from relational trauma. As a recovering perfectionist, Trisha loves working with high achieving professionals struggling with the narrative "Am I enough?". Not your typical smile and nod kind of therapist, on the contrary, she likes to get in the arena with you, giving you tangible tools to meet your goals and get through this difficult road of being a human today.
Trisha trained with Stan Tatkin, PsyD. MFT who is the founder of the The PACT Institute /Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy. Trisha also completed Pia Mellody’s training in early childhood trauma, and is level one trained in the Gottman Method, as well as Terry Real's, Relational Life Therapy. Trisha is a trainer and facilitator of Prepare/ENRICH, an empirically studied premarital assessment tool.
Trisha was a former professional dancer, traveling and touring both domestically and internationally prior to being called into the world of therapy. She often brings her therapy dog, Teddy into the office as a calming aid for clients. Outside of therapy, you can find Trisha hiking or adventuring on the weekends with her husband, baby boy and two dogs. Special talents: interior design, excessive organizing and hosting friends and family.
